Australia’s favourite outdoor museum, Sovereign Hill, is gearing up for the second annual Sovereign Hill Challenge fundraiser on Sunday 29 May. Join Olympic marathon runner Steve Moneghetti and some of Sovereign Hill’s cheeky miners as they compete in the 2.5km, 5km or 7.5km circuits which include running by the set of the Blood on the Southern Cross, through the gold mines and along the iconic Main Street of Sovereign Hill. This year on Thursday October 20, Ballarat High School, where Fiona Elsey was a student, led by Fiona's Mum Gail Elsey, who also a served as a dedicated Board Director at BCRC for seven years before retiring in 2011, conduct Fiona’s Walk, where thousands of school children walk around Lake Wendouree in memory of Fiona and raise much needed funds in support of Fiona’s Dream.
